Our repurposed quality furniture has been re-envisioned and re-crafted to become more functional, stylish, and feel like new again. It's not simply calling an old table a desk. It is not making cast-offs into crafts (i.e. Regr-Etsy). We re-work and refinish each piece with design in mind to make high-quality pieces that will feel at home with many decor styles. In most cases we don't want our furniture to be distinguishable as upcycled pieces. We want them to look and feel like they were intended for their purpose. Consider us the middle-man in your desire to leave a smaller ecological footprint with your furniture. The best part, you don't have to sacrifice style to be environmentally friendly. What is our upcycle process?
We take a selective approach to our upcycle process as we focus on the pieces that fit our style and mission. We try to produce an end product that is highly desirable and indistinguishable as a reused piece. All of our pieces are handpicked for their craftsmanship, strength, size, and design possibility. By being selective we ensure that the users will be buying quality products. Although every piece is different, the process generally shapes out in the following steps:
- Hand select desirable furniture and materials to be upcycled.
- Create a design plan to restore, update, or repurpose the piece based on a blend of current trends and artistry
- Fix, strengthen, or customize the selected piece with carpentry
- Apply a paint, stain, or other finish to the selected piece
- Add acceptable layers of an high performance clear top coat for added durability using an HVLP sprayer
